Health Care concern, farmers small group be watchful Trees are exposed to violent environment, intense heat waves, torrential rainfall, insects/bugs etc., farmers with their hard work and farm-based techniques save the trees. Similarly, farmers are exposed to violent environment, they work under direct sunlight, rainfall and above all, they are exposed to toxic pesticides. Hundreds of farmers die in India due to pesticide poisoning. TIST small groups are educated to be aware of harmful diseases. Since a year TIST encourages small groups to follow the best practices of Covid-19 and tell them the importance of handwashing, clean hand saves lives. Through this Newsletter TIST encourages the small groups to be aware of Breast Cancer. Many do not know that even men get breast cancer. If breast cancer is found early, there are more treatment options and a better chance for survival. If breast cancer is detected at an early stage, there is 93 percent chance to get cured.

Breast Cancer Awareness
Dr.Lopamudra Das Roy, Founder & President, Breast Cancer Hub, extended a great service to TIST farmers. She visited TIST small groups in Tiruvallur District, Tamil Nadu, India, on 5th December 2021 and organized a workshop on “Breast Cancer Challenges, Simple Solutions Saving Lives”. Dr.Das Roy conducted a power-packed workshop, depicting the challenges associated with Breast Cancer, sharing her eye-opening experiences, empowered with knowledge about family history, key risk factors, inflammation, screening, managing diagnosis an impact that motivated women & men towards early detection & prevention of Cancer. After the workshop she met several women and men reaching out to her with concerns and counselled them lovingly. Highlights of the Workshop

• Family history, Risk Factors and Role of Inflammation
• Mammogram Limitations with Dense Breast, Diagnosis, Treatment Management, Palliative Care and Support Groups.
